About us
Helping to reduce Addiction, Re-offending and Homelessness.
Our aim is to provide training and employment opportunities for men and women aged 18 - 60 who have been helped by Teen Challenge (www.tclondon.org.uk), a Christian Charity that works locally and nationally in various ways to put hope within reach of those trapped in addiction.
We believe it is possible for men and women to break free from addiction, and live fulfilling lives as contributing members to society and we have seen hundreds make the transition from addiction to freedom.
A quarter of all deaths among males aged 16 to 24 are attributable to alcohol. 35 people on average die each day in the UK from their use of alcohol and drugs.
There are 6 residential facilities throughout the UK which offer supported accommodation to those who want to break free from the debilitating lifestyle that addiction brings. The residential programme runs for eleven months and is designed to aid individuals in identifying and addressing the core issues that drove their addiction.
Each person agrees to a tailored support plan and works with a dedicated advisor. They engage in classes that follow a curriculum specifically designed to aid transformation. They are also provided with a work programme and taught key life skills.
Outreach teams work in over 50 different parts of the UK with 500 volunteers who use a variety of different means to engage with those in the grip of long term addiction.
Addiction destroys individuals and families causing devastation to parents and children of addicted loved ones. Addiction often leads to regular offending and homelessness. Many children enter the social care system due to having addicted parents.
